My name is Jonathan Rivera Rodríguez, born in Arecibo, Puerto Rico and raised in Lares, Puerto Rico. I studied in public schools from my young age going through the schools, Juan Carlos Pagán in Lares, Santiago R Palmer & high school Miguel F Santiago Echegaray, both in Quebrada, Camuy. I started my college years at the University of Puerto Rico at Arecibo in Business Administration. In my sophomore year I was able to get a basketball scholarship to Riverland Community College in Austin, Minnesota. During that experience, my team was among the best in the nation with a 24-5 record when we were defeated just one game from the final. My junior year of college passed COVID-19 and there was no basketball season. For my fourth year I decided to transfer to Kissimmee, Florida to study and play for Johnson University Florida in the NCCAA D2 league. I also made history in college when I was the first player and manager in college. I had my best season averaging 13pts, 5 rebounds, 3 assists and hitting a triple double in my last game with 30 points, 10 rebounds, 10 assists. After that I had the blessing of being recruited by several agents to offer me their services. For September 2022, I was invited to a practice of the NBA-G League with the Lakeland Magic where I was able to share and meet most of the Orlando Magic staff. I was recently given the opportunity to work for the Osos de Manatí in the BSN as a Social Media Manager.
